Hi, I'm Nicki Lee. Last year I constantly checked out all the beautiful bead work on the BJP and fell in love. I kept telling myself "next year" I want to try this. I am so excited to be a part of such a diverse group of talent and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
I am a Crazy Quilt addict and love to create anything and everything using beads, lace and color. For my project I have decided to go with the one thing that calms me and also will be easy to incorporate my favorite colors of blue and green - the ocean/seashore. Living close to Cape Cod I have plenty of inspiration and hope to depict the change in seasons. I'm looking forward to starting my first ever BJP this coming week.

One can't have a better sea infuence than Cape COd!! I grew up there and lived there through my college years- went to college in Norton Ma, at WHeaton!! Probably not too far away form where you are living. I go home evry summer to visit family and friends and the OCEAN at Nauset Beach. My daughter and I are sea adicts and she spends hours upon hours in the surf. I too am new to BJP and really look forward to seeing how the sea speaks to you!!!

Do you intend that all of your pieces will "explore" the ocean/seashore???? I love this idea... to "paint" the same subject in different seasons and in different moods over a year's time is such a pathway to artistry!!!!
